Brandon Carnes

Partner

Brandon Carnes is a partner with the firm, where his practice focuses on commercial and construction matters.

Brandon has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, including disputes involving shareholder issues, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud. In the construction context, he represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and related entities in both private and public projects, including contract disputes and mechanics’ lien matters.

He also has significant experience defending businesses and employers in individual and class action matters involving employment and consumer protection laws, including claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, as well as analogous state statutes. In addition to his litigation practice, Brandon advises clients on the drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial agreements, with a particular focus on regulatory and compliance considerations.

Prior to joining the firm, Brandon practiced in Chicago, where he litigated matters throughout Illinois and in federal courts nationwide for eight years. He brings a practical, results-oriented approach to his work, with an emphasis on clear strategy, efficient execution, and strong written advocacy.

Outside the office, Brandon lives in Nashville with his wife, son, and their cat, Flipsy Baskets. He enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and following film, and remains a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan.
